257 Central Park West

The existing lobby was dim and worn, and the Board wanted spatial and material updates to add definition and interest to the space. We raised a large portion of the ceiling, and by upgrading to a central HVAC system, we were able to expand the window openings, strengthening the connection to Central Park. New limestone wall finishes juxtaposed with bronze detailing and dark mahogany wood finishes provide fresh contrasts that bring definition to the entry, concierge and sitting areas. The limestone wall finishes fl oat on a custom stone mosaic base and ceiling cove, reminiscent of pre-war detailing.
